CASE FAMILY SAFETY CENTER

Ethos has partnered with Case Family Safety Center over many years, beginning with their original location and continuing as the organization has expanded its staff, services, and community outreach. This essential nonprofit provides critical resources including protective orders, forensic medical examinations, legal assistance, advocacy, and other wraparound services for individuals and families in crisis.

Our team facilitated visioning sessions with more than 60 stakeholders, led programming and operational evaluations, and explored multiple site opportunities to support the organization’s long-term growth and mission. Through several iterations in size, scope, and complexity, the project remained grounded in trauma-informed design principles focused on dignity, healing, safety, and security, while remaining responsive to the realities of nonprofit budgeting and operations.

Ultimately, the two-story facility was designed as a welcoming and secure environment, conceived as a “hug” for both clients and staff, bringing essential services together in one location to reduce barriers to care and support emotional well-being through thoughtful, user-centered design.
