Tulsa City-County Library Brookside

Tulsa, Oklahoma

As part of Tulsa City-County Library’s long-range master plan, Brookside is the first of four new community branch projects designed to elevate library services across the system. Drawing inspiration from the heritage of the Brookside neighborhood and the timeless modernism of TCCL’s Central Library, the exterior façade introduces an abstracted open-book form expressed in travertine marble and glass. Inside, flexible meeting rooms, technology-forward collaboration zones, and a multipurpose community room support the evolving needs of modern library users.

Community feedback played a key role in shaping the amenities and layout, ensuring that the new Brookside Library delivers welcoming, adaptable spaces designed for learning, gathering, and connection. As the first project implemented from the master plan, it establishes the design vision, material palette, and programmatic framework that will inform the next three branches in TCCL’s system-wide transformation.
